Page Size: Trim: 7 7/8" x 10 1/2"
Bleed: 8 1/8" x 10 3/4"
Live area: Allow at least 1/4" in from trim
Head Trim: Allow additional 1/8" (Bind-ins jog to head)
High-folio lap: 3/8"
Stock: Cover: 100# No. 3 Coated Stock
Body: 50# No. 3 Coated Stock
Bind: Saddle Stitch: (3 stitches along the 10 1/2" way)

Ad Materials (for a Saddle Stitch publication)

File Formats Accepted: Quark XPress (collect for output w/fonts included), TIF, Acrobat PDF (3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0 only), InDesign (PDF/X1A)
Media Accepted: (CD-ROM or DVD) File should conform with SWOP standards. Send accurate digital color proof (i.e. Epson, KA) with file.
Files NOT Accepted: CT, LW or TIFF-IT
FTP Option: If accessing FTP site for transfer, send a pdf file along with collect-for-output file for soft proofing.
Mac Users: Send file using an FTP program, such as "Fetch."
FTP Instructions:
  1. Launch FTP program
    (note: login info is case sensitive)
  2. If the connection window doesn't appear automatically, select "New Connection" from the file menu
  3. In the "Host" field enter: ftp.platgraph.com
    User Name: newparent
    Password: npFTP01 (Click: OK)
  4. Drag and Drop file(s) into window.
FTP Proof: No confirmation hard proof for approval will be sent back to originator (advertiser/agency). If originator wishes publisher to use originator's hard proof for "press okay," then originator should overnight to:

Include a hard proof (i.e., Epson, KA) with file. Hard proof must be ID'd as: NPM FTP-Hard Proof.
Note: Under no circumstance, is Publisher responsible for color reproductions unless originators hard proof accompanies the FTP file (or CD-file format).
